Working with Organizations

I lead workshops, seminars and courses on mindfulness in the workplace for both non-and for-profit organizations, and their leaders.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of teams and leaders. Some examples include:

  • The Federal Reserve Bank of New York

  • The New York City Police Department

  • Jones Day

  • Nomura

  • Purpose

  • Guardian Life

  • Evercore

  • Code Green / RizzoGroup

  • ABC in the Broadcast Operations Division

  • Cable Entertainment Group at NBC Universal

  • Physicians Reciprocal Insurance Cooperation

  • Downstate Medical School

and more…

Generally, such programs are customized to the needs and goals of each organization and/or team. I work with internal sponsors and mindfulness advocates to develop mindfulness-based interventions that can support individuals and teams to thrive. Together we cultivate sustainable, inclusive and healthy workplace cultures, more easily able to turn towards difficulties and heal organizational trauma.

I also work with senior executives who have a keen interest in mindfulness practices and integrating this into their lives and work, but are unable to attend one of my group courses.

Before turning to teaching full-time I was an agent and producer in the performing arts for over 30 years. I managed hundreds of international tours, produced numerous recordings and worked with many major performing arts centers, international festivals, governmental agencies as well as founding a major music festival. I draw on this experience and what I have learned along the way working with executives and teams to craft mindfulness programs suited to a professional environment.

Kind Words

We got such accolades from your presentation. One attendee actually said that she felt like she had been “in a mini spa for 50 minutes” and others called or wrote that they were thrilled that they had been able to make it. Your presentation was not only timely, but much needed here at Guardian.

FAQs

What are your fees?

Fees completely depend on the specific project whether it is a one-off presentation or an extended training. As with all my activities I work on a sliding scale depending on the size of the organization.

Is this religious / spiritual?

My offerings for corporations and organizations are strictly secular. If I am asked about the origins of these contemplative practices, I certainly name the Buddhist tradition, but the way the practices are presented is accessible to all, regardless of creed.

Can you lead a monthly mindfulness group for my organization / team ?

This is certainly possible, though I would likely
recommend a more frequent schedule at first. One ideal solution is to identity internal “champions” who can support on going practice within an organization, using recorded meditations I provide.

Do you provide individual training for senior executives?

Yes! I’ve worked with numerous senior executives creating programs customized to their schedules and needs.
